This month, our PYP 4 and 5 students celebrated their incredible history exhibition, “The Land Between Two Rivers.” Students have been preparing diligently this semester to create one-of-a-kind presentations that showcase different areas of our great nation. From traditional songs to architectural diaramas and Iraqi-inspired outfits to maps of ancient and modern cities, students impressed guests with their knowledge and creativity.

Each class brought their chosen city to life through beautifully performed traditional songs and outfits from their respective city. The classes created maps and architectural models of their respective towns and regions. Utilizing their unique skills and creativity, they impressed honored guests and parents. Additionally, students highlighted and shared with the audience stories and facts about the most influential people in Iraq’s History.

This event reminds us of what exactly makes Mar Qardakh an amazing school—a student body, faculty, and a supporting community that strive for an impactful and worthwhile education. The result of this effort is students who are creative leaders and thoughtful citizens of the world.
